Week..forgot. But I 💗 (Knee-Vail)

It has been one of the best weeks of my mission so far! Oh my goodness the people here just make me so happy and McBride (McFrite) is great. Life is just good good good.
It started with Pairi Daiza last Monday! It's a beautiful zoo, holy cow man. I walked into a room with millions of bats and I cried.

Kelly - Natalie is a less active who we visit. She has been less active for 20 years because her husband decided he didn't like it, so their 14 yr old son was raised catholic. BUT, Natalie loves seeing us and talking about her baptism and faith it's great. Last week we taught her son Kelly how to pray at the end of our lesson. This week he came in at the beginning of the lesson for the prayer then pulled up a chair and stayed for the whole entire thing and accepted a Book of Mormon.  He was so open it was amazing!

Patrice & Patricia - on Thursday we went to see Patricia and her cousin Patrice was there as well! During dinner Patricia looked at him and just said "I'm going to stop smoking so I can get baptized." Anyway, amazing night.   She is great, he is great and they are going to take us to Bruxelles for McBride's birthday and it's going to be great.

Baptism - Danny is Baptized! His baptism was so simple and amazing and he is so cool! That was the first convert baptism I have ever seen.  The Elders forced us to sing in the program and now we have to do it again next Sunday. ..Elders man.. (But they did leave drinks in the car for us so I guess I can't be too mad).

Gaëton - GAËTON CAME TO CHURCH. After 1 year of being taught he cammmmeee. And he loved it he said it was familiar, simple and peaceful. And he stayed for the 2nd hour and said that next week he will be able to stay for all of it. I think me and Soeur McBride cried a little! So so so exciting!

Then today we spent the day in Dinant which is beautifullll. We climbed the citadel and almost died and had lunch it was great. That's where the saxophone was created so they have a saxophone for every country all around the city. Probably my favorite ville so far.
This next week is nuts with interviews, zone conference, and exchanges in Liège (On my 6 month mark baby) 🤙

Have a good one! ♡

Thanks Elders

Week 19: Je suis Américain

Hiiiiiiiii. It's finally Pday 💃 Thank goodness. This week just dragged. We had just one rendezvous this week, the rest fell through so yeah usually we have at least 8-10ish so you can see how much finding we did.

THE ONE RENDEZVOUS was with Patricia. She wants to get baptized. It's all about the one. :')
BUT we knocked on some cute doors found some cool chapels ate a little too much junk and kept going. AND we met the coolest 16 yr old (Cam, come marry this little Belgian) Her name is Flore. She heard us trying to figure out the rest of the birthday song in French and just laughed and was like "We just sing it in English!" Then we talked until our train came and she followed us to where we were sitting and we talked more (She loves practicing her English) and she took our pamphlet and gave us her number and told us we should meet her friends.😊

Yesterday we got to go to Mons to speak at the S.H.A.P.E Branche, which is a US military base. We got to see the Thompson's and meet the members there.  They were so excited to have us, it was so sweet! It was the first Sunday in 5 months I have left church without a headache, I love English so much and everyone there was so American. :') They gave us so much food too!!! Our mouths dropped we were so happy. I guess you could say my pride had been really really hurt this week and while I know I need to get over myself it was nice to feel loved and cared for by the people here.

Oh, this week I helped an old lady cross the road hahaha, didn't think that kind of thing actually happened but an old Italian cranky lady grabbed me by the arm and yanked me across the street (a busy street) to a little shop for a big pack of cigarettes and then right back across haha. And we got American pizza for 7€ whatta deal ♡

This next week is already looking up. The Braine Elders ami, Danny, is getting baptized on Saturday! He walked into church a month ago and was like well who is gonna teach me? He is so so so so cool. It'll be good.

Life is what you make it, so we'll make it rock!

Week 18: Transfer 4!!

Hey everyone!

I'm just going to start out by telling you the story of Gosling. We found him one morning and took pictures with him and gave him a name and we thought that he was our first miracle for the day...he was dead the whole time and now we avoid that street because he smells
horrible :(

We went over the rétablissment with Patricia on Wednesday and she knew everything, the year, what age he was, what scripture he read. She studies those brochures and it makes me so happy! The only question she had was who is the prophet today? We went home so happy. The next day we went to help her take a load of things over to her son Nigel's apartment and she asked if we would help her with groceries. When we went, it was actually us grocery shopping and her telling us what to get so we would stop just eating cereal at home. She is going to start teaching us how to cook and in turn we are going to teach her some English. She's a really sweet lady, except when she put dog food in the cart and said I would probably like it.  She wants to have a primary activity with the kids too, she is so well integrated with the ward!

We did a lot of porting this week. Had a lot of weird things happen.  Had a random guy come up and grab me and plant a bisous on me so that was terrifying. Uhhh yeah.
It's the beginning of another transfer! Transfer 4..how did that happen!? Me and Soeur McBride get to keep doing our thing here in Nivelles but a lot of things are changing around us. It's going to be a great transfer! We are pretty stoked :')

Have a good week!

Week 17: soihushougoss70us8ohlsbo

Hey hey hey,

The mission is amazing, and I am half way done training! How did that happen? Me and Soeur McBride made peaches and tuna almost everyday this week and it was amazing. Also, we had two amazing porting experiences. We prayed with and gave the Book of Mormon to an Athiest/scientist and it was such a cool experience! Another lady let us in and we discussed all of retab and she accepted the Book of Mormon...then said she is leaving to Ruwanda for 4 months...ahhh man.
We also had zone conference so here's a not so great picture of that. It was one of those long weeks but that's okay, next week is gonna be so great!

Have a good week everyone. :)
