Bye Belgium ✌

Hey, I'll cry too much if I write a lot about it but I'm getting booted out of Belgium and I'm going to TORCY. Paris. Disneyland. Yay. But I'm going to miss Belgium and all of its friteries, chocolate, Flemish, sauces, 11 yr olds smoking... ahhh it's the dreamland. And my companion, ah man this is tragic. But hey, on to new adventures and new culture shock and new people to love. My new companion is Sœur Hicken, she is in the same transfer as McBride so I am her "Polisher", I still have no idea what I'm doing though quite honestly. Hot mess express baby.

My last week in Nivelles went so well! A lot of miracles and craziness of course. 1) Mom and Dad don't read this.  I was getting off the train and my tablet slipped out of my hand and went underneath the train !! Didn't think that could happen. And then an angel tall man came and dropped himself onto the ground and reached for it.. everyone was like ahhh attention but he did it, he was safe, and my tablet is in one piece and then he just got up and jogged off.  I was shook.

On Tuesday, we had a lesson with our ami, Josette. She said that one of her neighbors was going to come because he wanted to meet these Mormons, we kind of got an idea that he might be...a weirdo so we had Frere Vannuvel come with us. The guy didn't end up coming because a few days before our lesson he showed up at Josette's wrote cuss words in the Book of Mormon and scratched out a members testimony that was in the front. He then hid the book from her. Before we got there she had a thought to look under this big cabinet behind her dinner table and it was there! We had an amazing lesson with her and she felt and recognized the spirit, and knew that the spirit was what told her where to find her Book of Mormon. It honestly freaked me out a lot opening her Book of Mormon to that.

Sunday was really hard! I didn't cry until I got to the stand because they asked me to share my testimony! I love these people. Patricia was sitting by me yesterday and held my hand, she was crying. Tonight, we will see the Desmedt's and I know I'll cry on that one.  Tuesday, we are going to Natalie's, De Lauw's, and Nancy's for a sec and eating dinner at Patricia's.  I love this ward! But I'm so glad I got to serve here, it's crazy that if I didn't decide to serve I would've never met these people in the random ville of Nivelles Belgium..or tried peaches and tuna.

Here I come France and Transfer 5 :')

GROS BISOUS BONNE SEMAINE ✌

Week 23: I was flashed this week

Bonjour,

This week flew by and was just packed full of great stuff.
On Tuesday night we went to the Brebois for dinner! I love this family. After dinner we taught retab in 5 minutes, then had them teach it. Mikayla who is 17 did it with her uncle (Frere Brebois) and it was amazing! It was so cool hearing her testimony of a Loving Heavenly Father.

On Friday, we went to Mons which is kind of far out to visit a less active member. Since we were there we found a couple of really really old amis to pass by. One answered the door smiling so big and was so excited to see us, it had been since 2011. She invited us back so we will be teaching her this Friday as well.

On Saturday, we went to Frere Butchers house. He is from St.Lucia originally and speaks English, he is so so funny. We ate lunch with him and his wife and another member from Mons named Peter. When it came to the spiritual thought, Peter and Butcher said that they decided they wanted to give it. They have started to read a section of Preach my Gospel together every week, and they wanted to teach lesson. These members. We went through "What is my purpose as a missionary?" And tried to help them come up with ideas on how they can reach out to people in different ways. Butchers wife isn't a member, but she fully participated and prayed with us. I felt the spirit so strongly with them.

And yeah church was great! I didn't come home with a headache and we set up a lot of rendezvouses just in case this is my last week in Nivelles, which it probably will be!!

Also, our new dmp (ward mission leader/convert of 1 year) dropped the F word in our first meeting with him hahahaha. And we were flashed twice ... okayyyyy!

Week 22 - Nivelles

Hi.

I know this week was a good week but I don't remember much about it.

We had a really good lesson with Gaëton. The fact that we have a living Prophet today is the reason he began listening to the missionaries, so we decided to go over Priesthood and Auxiliaries. We brought the Ensign with us that has the full page of General Authorities and he snatched it out of our hands so fast and his eyes were all lit up, it was so funny. I was scared that he wasn't going to learn anything new from our lesson but he asked so many questions! We asked him why an organization like this is necessary and invited him to think of a way he can apply this to himself. Like how can he follow the prophet? How does knowledge of an organized church ran by Jesus Christ through a Prophet benefit his life? I really started thinking about it for myself.   Jesus Christ is helping our generation today through someone who is extremely sensitive to the spirit, we are so taken care of!

On Friday we went to Liège for exchanges. My dream ville, I want to serve there so bad. :') Soeur Warr and Bennett are so great seriously! We had a great rendezvous and I learned so much more about finding. And there were people on the street haha.  We walked a block and met two really cool people. In the morning we did Insanity and I hurt really bad right now, but when your brother tells you you are getting chubby you gotta do something.  (Lol)

Yesterday the Elders made us sing in sacrament and it wasn't too great but whatever I'm a Soeur missionary so gotta sing. And then the Desmedts had us over for dinner and cake for Soeur McBride and Deborah's (their daughter)  Birthday. They are an amazing family, I can't even say how grateful I am for them.

Today we went to Brussels. Shopping + Grande Place + Food. Amazing.
This week is full !!! People aren't busy anymore it's amazing. I'm so excited to meet with everyone and just see more miracles.

Have a good week!

Week 21: 6 months...comment? (comment = how in French)

Hey!

This week was a blur haha. We had a really good (6 hour) zone conference and interviews with President Sorensen. And I hit my 6 month mark! I guess you should believe 'em when they say your mission will fly. We went to the best Mexican Restaurant in Waterloo to celebrate. :')

I restarted the Book of Mormon this week and I LOVE 1st Nephi. It was always just that first little book I couldn't get past, but it is amazing and sooo packed. I don't like to put it down and I hope and pray our amis feel the same way.

On Saturday, we went to Tubize and took some Italian Book of Mormons with us, and we placed two! So this week we have with us Swahili, Polish, Romanian, and German and we are pretty pumped to place them. We also have exchanges in Liège (they were rescheduled) so I am pretty optimistic and excited going into this next week!

Oh and happy birthdayyyyy Kody and Emma. 🌈🦄🐄😈🐌🐘👩‍🚀 😄 weirdos.

Have a good one.♡
