Rennes ♡🍀♡

Salut!

So I said goodbye to Happy and Manoucheca and some other amis in Torcy then peace out. Oh so cool! Manoucheca is looking for a house in Rennes!! For real!!

Rennes is amazing. And so is my companion. Sœur Burrup went to Baylor but is originally from Colorado. She is so chill. We have great amis and members and recent converts. And roommates!! Oh my goodness everything feels too good to be true honestly.  You are a lot happier when your busy working too, with all the calls we have to do and planning and rdvs and finding, I have had no time to just have me time and it's been awesome. I don't think I'm an STL because I am an amazing missionary with amazing teaching skills I think I am because I need to learn from everyone around me and I get to have a change and I can really really profité my last 6 months!!!

We had great rendezvous...and oh my goodness had the weirdest contacts. We ran up 11 flights of stairs, died our food green and totally failed at Trajet contacting haha its been a good start. We also got dropped by a 7th Day Adventist, too bad.

Today we are being the wacky Americans and we are and having photo shoots all over the city hahaha. Right now we are sitting in a Crêperie and oh my happy place.

Tonight we have our first exchanges for the transfer and we are going to Nantes! I am so excited. Then we have the Angers sœurs coming to Rennes for exchanges on Thursday and Friday.

I'll send the pics of our photo shoot later lol. I'm dying my hair brown I decided. Bye I love it here!

Last week in Torcyyyy 💃💃

Salut!

Donc, a new transfer is here and I'm peacin out of Torcy to go to Rennes! I got a fun call from Près and I'll be a Sœur Formatrice (STL) for the Rennes zone. I'm just kind of ignoring that part though and am just so excited to go to Rennes, especially right now as it is warming up. Sœur Raj just left Rennes and it was her favorite ville of all time. I'm going to be in a 4 man for the first time and in a big ville for the first time. I'm so pumped my goodness. Bretagne I'm coming for yah 🦀🐚💃

This last week our équipe died and were so sick all week. We sucked it up for our rendezvous and had some of the best but other than that we didn't do much finding besides on the phone. Our rendez-vous with our amis from Sierra-Léon went so well! (besides the husband saying he'll be there when he was actually in Paris, classic) Christo (la femme) invited two of her friends!! They're both amazing and interested in learning more and attending our church. We set up a return rendezvous with all of them! Then we had a rendezvous with an ancient ami and ended up teaching her whole family! Idk, I've honestly never taught that many families so it was a great week. We also gave a short church tour to a man named George, it was like 20 minutes long maybe but it was a rendezvous that we talked about afterwards and were like...yeah he is getting baptized this year. He was so open, not like we all believe in the same God open but like he is searching for those things that are missing! I'm excited for George.

I also went to Paris on Thursday for my Legality! Me and Sœur Foley and Sœur Giles went together! It was fun to catch up and get lunch with them.

Hahahaha okay my awkward...one of my awkward moments for the week. We met this lady two weeks ago at a gare and she was like hello I go to the ward of Meaux but that's the same chapel as Torcy cool yay and then there was a baptism for Meaux yesterday we went to haha and when we got there she was standing there with some other women and we were just talking to them and I was like are you guys staying for the Baptism?? And she was like.. It's mine. And I was like uhhaha ah bon.

Oh also Rodolphe says he will get baptized after he runs for Mayor in 2 yrs, YAY!

I won't say that I'm sad to leave Torcy because I'm actually going to cry happy tears on the way out but I love the people I have met here! Frustrating people, but I love them a whole lot and I've learned so much here!

Love you guys can't wait to finally eat the candy you sent in my package GROS BISOUS 😘

(I liked this picture of the temple and the escargot. The Sœur who posted it on FB said always make sure you are taking steps toward the temple even if they are snail paced!)

N'inquiétez pas

Salut,

Oh my goodness my week was nuts.

Tuesday.. I ate ice cream for dinner.

Wednesday...We did service for Sœur Jacquet then during dinner hour we went to a marché with Gwènaëlle in Noisiel. One of the guys selling things at a stand recognized me and was like hey! You gave me a Book a few weeks ago, I want to talk about it. So that was a little miracle.

Thursday... My year mark 💃 I had a strange feeling of PTSD all day, Friday too. We went to Sr. Defranchis for lunch and it was amazing. She is the funniest person ever and she lectured us on marriage for a long time, "don't judge boys on their appearance. I mean my husband wasn't cute when we were dating. But some time after we got married he became cuter. I did that. Don't marry ugly guys either!! There's a happy middle" Then we went to a rendezvous with our ami Josephine who is in the process of getting a diploma for Pastries and Cakes. Oh la la. We were so full from that afternoon but she kept giving me these pastries and I kept eating them ...6 months to sexy starts next week hehe.

Friday..we finally saw Happy! She's doing better, we set a new date for April 14th but life is kind of distracting right now.. Pray for her! We also passed by a less active member who moved here 3 years ago from China. Her family isn't believing and she started a new job so she works on Sundays. It was good to pray with her because after doing it alone for a while she stopped. Her 9 yr old son was there and went running up the stairs as soon as our video started and said "Dieu" haha.

Saturday.. We got fruged a lot so we did lots of porting. We got into a long fight with a TJ but it's okay life went on.  Jesus has long hair in paintings and I don't have a problem with it.

Sunday... Miracles just rained on down okay so many miracles. Our DMP brought a family to church. A mom and a dad and a baby :') they are Muslim, from Sierra Léon and have been in France for like 6 months. They loved church and everyone was great to speak English to them. During Relief Society I was translating for her then they asked me to present her. I did it in English on accident and in my head was like why is this so easy then everyone started laughing and I was like OH PARDON. I'm just not that talented I guess. The Elder's ami Joël got baptized after church (he was a member referral!!) and it was amazing. Mohammed and Christa stayed for it and us and the elders tag teamed it. They have a Baptismal date for April 14th as well. We are teaching them Thursday night with our DMP 🙌

Today we went to Paris and had the opportunity to do a session. We did two of our family names who were from Québec, the name of the ville was in French so I'm guessing they spoke French. I doubted my French but then in the middle of it I was like oh my goodness this is French and I'm understanding everything. It was so amazing!! That temple is something else. I was thinking in the Celestial room about how much nicer it is to do work for the dead than for the living. Haha is that bad? But then I was like I can prepare people for baptism and from there they get to experience this same peace inside the temple. Life is hard and stressful holy moly we need the temple. Afterwards I saw Président Babin and also some girls from high school haha what?! Then we went and saw the Palace of Versailles for a little bit. GOOD DAY.

Oh yeah the reason my subject is that is because I did a lot of stupid things this week and I can't count how many times people said n'inquiétez pas to me lol.

Alrighty, can't wait to talk more next week. Répertoire day baby dahhhhh

Bye bye
