On Thursday we had Zone Conference, my whole district had to give mini formations (because we killin it) so I gave one on Having the Courage and Faith to see miracles. Then we got SMARTPHONES. Imagine like twenty 20 yr olds sitting in a circle freaking out not knowing how to turn a phone on or work it hahaha it was priceless. Elder Leavitt is in my zone and he brought me a 2L coke for my b-day so that was vraiment gentil quoi. Also, I saw Raj for the last time, she gave her dying testimony and it was so weird. But she is the only one of my comps that will leave before me so that's nice. I just had a major feeling I was a bleu again WHOA.
After Zone Conference we had a lesson with Gwènaëlle and she prayed for the first time! We went over the Plan of Salvation and she asked great questions and it was awesome. Then we saw her again Saturday when we went to visit her Village. We got permission to go one time because it's...so far out of our sector. But it was amazing!! So so so old so old. And it smelled so gooood. The bus ride was so green it was a happy day
On Friday we met with Rodolphe and we discussed the plan of salvation and other irrational things as promised. Well guess what, he has met one of the 3 Nephites and has no idea. I'll tell the story when I get home or on Skype I guess just remind me. He kept saying things like God came from somewhere, he probably lived on an earth like us then became a God and there has to be something like that for us and I believe in aliens but more of people just like us living somewhere else and we sat there dumbfounded because how deep doctrine can a missionary go (?) Basically he has pieced our beliefs together by himself but doesn't believe that's what religion teaches.
After Rodolphe we went to meet Madame + Monsieur Hartmann. We found her by phone finding and she was like meet me on Friday at 14h in front of the bus stop, we will get to know each other then maybe you can meet my husband the next time. So we went and met her then her bus came and she asked us to come with her. We went to a maison de retraite in a ville just above Bussy where her husband has been sick for over 10 yrs. (they aren't that old). She explained that the missionaries used to go with her every Friday for 90 minutes to play a game with him, share a Gospel lesson then they share a scripture and choose a song to sing. He was the sweetest man, and they were the nicest couple and The Mamas and the Papas, Mama Cass singing Dream a little dream of me came on in the next room and I can't wait to go back because I loved being there with them and I wish we would have found them before!!! I feel most like a missionary in situations like that and I think I want to go into nursing.
Last night we went to visit our ami Olivia. She is from Congo but lived in France but then moved to England where she began her life then more recently she moved back to France. She is basically homeless. Because she doesn't have work experience here in nursing she can't get a job so an association of some sort has given her a place to live with like 6 other people. The apartment is empty. Anyway we went over and talked more about the Book of Mormon and the Plan of Salvation and she too asked great questions and understood it so well. At one minute she just paused with tears in her eyes. The spirit filled that little room. Then two of the people she lived with came barging in drunk so we talked to them for a minute. They're a catholic couple who will be living on the streets today because they couldn't get their crap together. So they were giving us random pictures of ghosts they've seen because they won't have a place to put them. I have the strangest souvenirs guys. It was pretty surreal talking to them, kind of sketch too haha.
Okay, so that was my week. Then we have exchanges this week and a Soirée familiale and I'm sure other great things. Love you guys!
